Buffet a Deux Corps
A French Buffet a Deux Corps, literally a cupboard with two bodies. Typically a prestige piece of furniture as it housed the most valuable items for the table this gorgeous two-tiered buffet with the top cabinet shallower than the bottom has particularly impressive wood grain and colour. The top has two doors opening to three full shelves, below are three drawers, the centre one can be locked. The bottom cabinet also has two doors and these open to two full shelves. Note the handsome cornice and feet. Use for your special dinnerware, linen or books.
