Antique French Quilt - Boutis
Handmade and very pretty antique quilt - 'Boutis', from the South of France. Rich raspberry is the predominant colour of the printed cotton fabric used as well as yellow, gold, pink, teal blue and cream. Images of birds amongst a stylized foliage is use for one side. The reverse is a patchwork of material, again floral motifs as well as scenes of smartly dressed children, urns in different colour ways. In very good condition, wear as would be expected - minor repairs.
